Serena Seeded No. 8 At Wimbledon

The speculation is now over. Serena Williams, the two-time defending champion, has been bumped up by the Wimbldon seeding committee to No. 8, just behind Francesca Schiavone and ahead of Petra Kvitova whom she beat in last year's semifinal. Venus Williams was bumped up a few slots as well.

Roger Federer remains the No. 3 seed. Andy Roddick was bumped up to No. 8.
